Cristian "Little Savage" Molina

May 03, 2019

It’s FIGHT MONTH at Come As You Are.

We will be giving the spotlight to our local MMA fighters.

Team Lucero is getting ready for war at the Avi Resort & Casino for WFC: World Fighting Championships on May 11th.

If you’ve never been to a local MMA show, you’re definitely missing out...

For those who follow local MMA, you know who the 5’4, 114lb, 24 year old - purple belt, Little Savage is.
For those who don’t know who he is, let us introduce you to a man named Cristian Molina.
Cristian is originally from Phoenix but like most of us, lives in Bullhead City. Cristian has been training Jiu-Jitsu for 6 years, 4 of those years under Professor Rick Lucero. His decision to train under Professor Lucero was made when they met at a local gym and he (Cristian) was impressed by Lucero’s teaching ability along with his rough & tough mentality. Thanks to Lucero, Cristian has gone on to win numerous matches and titles in both Jiu-Jitsu tournaments and MMA fights.
Molina is employed full time and is also a full time father. Some may find this to be a dead end to wanting to start a career in MMA, but Molina assures us that it definitely isn’t, “working full time and being a father definitely doesn’t make it easy for my training schedule but when you want something bad enough you make it work. Also having a life partner who supports you through the journey helps make everything easier. I couldn’t be more thankful for the support system I have been blessed with from teammates, family, and friends.”

Anyone interested in joining the Jiu-Jitsu camp stop by Lucero Academy in Mohave Valley.

“The advice I would give to someone looking to join Jiu-Jitsu is that surviving the first few months is probably the toughest part but if you manage to make it through, then you will learn a lot about yourself, physically and mentally. The fight life is a long, grueling, journey with the highest highs and the lowest lows but in the end it molds you to become not only a good martial arts practitioner but a good person.”
