Protesters gather in solidarity and protest against LVMPD in the name of Jorge Gomez.
“Protests erupted nationwide Saturday night in solidarity with demonstrations in Portland, Ore., after federal authorities were sent to the city to respond to the unrest.”
A larger group of protesters took over the Las Vegas Strip this evening.
They were well equipped with homemade signs, megaphones, bottles of water and chants that were shouted in unison.
Members of both New Era Las Vegas, More Than A Hashtag and Las Vegas Liberation united to takeover the night. The march went up and down the Strip, ending in front of the Fountains of Bellagio.
The community continues to ask for the release of the videos from June 1st (over 30 days) to help open the investigation of Jorge Gomez’ death at the hands of the LVMPD.
